Lord grant me the knowledge
That I may know that your favouring me is merely a privilege

That neither do I deserve it
Nor is it my rightful benefit

Help me to always keep in mind
That I'm neither the best in the land

Nor am I the worst you could see
For you to had blessed me

But out of love
My problems you decided to solve

And kept me alive
To sing your praise everyday of my life

Let my heart be opened
And my sight never shortened

That I may see and know that people better
With wonderful character

Older
Or younger

Richer
Or poorer

And with better health
Had left the face of this earth

But by your grace
I'm still on this race

This I ask of you ancient of days
That I may praise you always
