Pls, great men in the house. I am having a very big challenge install sql server 2005 enterprise edition on window 7 ultimate os. It is just giving me one error message -- "SQL Server Edition Operating System Compatibility (Warning)Messages SQL Server". because of this error, I cannot install the server component. pls how can I resolve this error? Could it be that it is not compatible with window 7 ultimate os? pls Great people, I need your help.

Which edition of sql server 2005 are you trying to install.and what version of visual studio.net are you using ? Installing sql server 2005 in window 7 need some rigourous configuration. You cannot Install Sql Server 2005 Enterprise Edition On Window 7 Ultimate. You need a Windows Server operating system or a Virtual machine on your windows 7. VirtualBox is a good Virtual Machine from Oracle: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/virtualbox/downloads/index.html
