REMEMBER
Whenever you are tempted to nag your husband for that your dream Prado Jeep, even though your Golf car is still in good condition, remember those whose major priority for the past five years has been how to gather money for a second-hand bicycle;
Whenever you are tempted to fight your husband for his inability to move you into a duplex, even when you know his capacity is not yet beyond the self-contain apartment you both currently reside in, remember those who have never had the privilege of sleeping in a roofed-house for just a night;
Whenever you are tempted to drive to that pub to get some shots into your system, remember those who have died from drunk-driving;
Whenever you are tempted to take your own life because you can ‘no longer go on’, remember those who have been on life-support for the past decade or more, and whose loved ones never give up on;
Whenever you are tempted to take another man’s life for no just cause, remember you are not assured of the next breathe yourself;
Whenever you are tempted to abort that baby in your tummy, remember the great courage and perseverance it took for your mother to keep you, despite the troubles you gave her in those nine months she accommodated you in her tummy and the fact she was well aware of how painful your delivery will be;
Whenever you are tempted to take just one more puff of that cigar, remember those cancer victims who spend their last few moments on earth always wishing there was cure for lung cancer;
Whenever you are tempted to flaunt ‘those things your momma gave you’, remember those who have been confined to voluntary house arrest because of breast cancer;
Whenever you are tempted to show the world how glowing your skin is in those revealing outfits, remember those who would be willing to cover it all up, if only it will cure them of skin cancer;
Whenever you are tempted to hit on the next hooker for a quick round of lustful adventure, remember those who wish the hands of time could be reversed so that they could prevent the dreaded HIV they have been diagnosed of;
Whenever you feel like cheating on your ever innocent and faithful wife, remember those who are irredeemably impotent;
Whenever you feel like giving up on catering for the welfare of your son because of his unruly and disgraceful character, remember those who would wish they could at least live under the same roof with their son who currently occupies a bed at the psychiatric home;
Whenever you feel like giving up sponsoring your dullard of a daughter, remember those who have to reluctantly give up their own to live at the home of the intellectually impaired children.
Whenever you are tempted to feed your eyes on that ‘hot babe’ or that illicit and sinful content, remember those who don’t have the opportunity of just a second to see how beautiful the environment around them is;
Whenever you are tempted to backbite or gossip on your neighbor, remember those whose mouth have been sealed up forever from uttering just one word;
Whenever you are tempted to listen to those forbidden tunes/lyrics or slanderous and derogatory comments about your fellow, remember those whose ears cannot even appreciate a well delivered speech, not to talk of lewd speech;
Whenever you are tempted to utilize your high IQ in bringing down an innocent fellow or plotting evil against him, remember those that are brain-dead;
Whenever you are tempted to physically assault someone who has offended you, even one you have the option of patience, remember those who are lying helplessly on a hospital bed and don’t even have the power to drive away a ply irritatingly perched on their nose;
Whenever you are tempted to do anything you want with your life, in disobedience of the commandments of your Creator, Provider and Sustainer, remember those who have lost their lives against their own will;
Whenever you are tempted to squander that extra cash on frivolities, remember the hungry children of Africa whose continued survival depends on tips from well-meaning people of the world;
Whenever you are tempted to rape that defenseless lady, remember when you will be just as defenseless when the pangs of death grip you;
Whenever you are tempted to maltreat that helpless orphan child, remember how helpless you will be before the Angels in your grave;
Whenever you are tempted to go dance with some strange lady at some all night-out party, whilst you abandon your faithful wife alone in bed, remember those who don’t have the legs for such dance;
Whenever you are tempted to pick up your pen and outline how to blackmail that incorruptible man of high values and morals or that virtuous woman who has refused you extra-marital sex, remember those who don’t have the hand to even hold a pen;
Whenever you feel like calling a bluff of the laws and commandments of your Lord because you feel they are to “strict”, remember you are presently occupying a zone that He created and you have nowhere else where He doesn’t own to run to;
Whenever you are tempted to deny the existence of your Lord, remember it was not by your choice you came into existence;
Whenever you are tempted to live a tyrant and sinful lifestyle, remember there is no one that can save you from the wrath of your Lord if He decides to seize you with a heavy torment;
Whenever you are tempted to deny the meeting with your Lord, remember you cannot escape death when it calls, and you don’t even have a say in when it should come for you;
Whenever you deny there will be a Day of Recompense as promised by your Lord, remember to ask yourself how those who were cheated, oppressed and unjustly killed in this world would get justice they were denied by the laws of men;
So, when the temptations come, just remember and remember again that you will give an account of your time in this world before the Almighty uncreated, all-powerful Creator who gave you the chance of coming to this universe… It is Inevitable!


Qur'an 49:13 Surah Al-Hujurat
O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).
Qur'an 4:1 Surah An-Nisaa
O mankind! reverence your Guardian-Lord Who created you from a single person created of like nature his mate and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women; reverence Allah through Whom ye demand your mutual (rights) and (reverence) the wombs (that bore you): for Allah ever watches over you.
Qur'an 2:21-24 Surah Al-Baqarah
O ye people! adore your Guardian-Lord who created you and those who came before you that ye may have the chance to learn righteousness.
Who has made the earth your couch and the heaven your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith fruits for your sustenance; then set not up rivals unto Allah when ye know (the truth).
And if ye are in doubt as to what We have revealed from time to time to Our servant then produce a Surah like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (if there are any) besides Allah if your (doubts) are true.
But if ye cannot and of a surety ye cannot then fear the fire whose fuel is Men and Stones which is prepared for those who reject Faith.
Qur'an 4:174-175 Surah An-Nisaa (The Women)
O mankind! verily there hath come to you a convincing proof from your Lord: for We have sent unto you a light (that is) manifest.
Then those who believe in Allah and hold fast to Him soon will He admit them to Mercy and Grace from Him and guide them to Himself by a straight Way.
Qur’an 24:41-42 Surah An-Nur
Have you not seen that unto Allah glorifies whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, and the birds with wings outspread (in their flight)? Each one knows its own (mode of) prayer and praise. And Allah is Aware of what they do."
And unto Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and unto Allah is the ultimate return (of all).
Qur'an 10:57-60 Surah Yunus (Jonah)
O mankind! there hath come to you a direction from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts and for those who believe a Guidance and a Mercy.
Say: "In the Bounty of Allah and in His Mercy in that let them rejoice": that is better than the (wealth) they hoard.
Say: "See ye what things Allah hath sent down to you for sustenance? Yet ye hold forbidden some things thereof and (some things) lawful." Say: "Hath Allah indeed permitted you or do ye invent (things) to attribute to Allah?"
And what think those who invent lies against Allah of the Day of Judgment? Verily Allah is full of Bounty to mankind but most of them are ungrateful.
Qur'an 4:132-134 Surah An-Nisaa (The Women)
Yea unto Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth and enough is Allah to carry through all affairs.
If it were His will He could destroy you O mankind and create another race: for He hath power this to do.
If anyone desires a reward in this life in Allah's (gift) is the reward (both) of this life and of the Hereafter: for Allah is He that heareth and seeth (all things).


Qur'an 35:3-7 Surah Fatir
O men! call to mind the grace of Allah unto you! Is there a Creator other than Allah to give you Sustenance from heaven or earth? There is no god but He: how then are ye deluded away from the Truth?
And if they reject thee so were apostles rejected before thee: to Allah go back for decision all affairs.
O men! certainly the promise of Allah is true. Let not then this present life deceive you nor let the Chief Deceiver deceive you about Allah.
Verily Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his adherents that they may become Companions of the Blazing Fire.
For those who reject Allah is a terrible Penalty: but for those who believe and work righteous deeds is Forgiveness and a magnificent Reward.

Qur'an 7:3-5 Surah Al-A'raf
Follow (O men!) the revelation given unto you from your Lord and follow not as friends or protectors other than Him. Little it is ye remember of admonition.
How many towns have We destroyed (for their sins)? Our punishment took them on a sudden by night or while they slept for their afternoon rest.
When (thus) our punishment took them no cry did they utter but this "indeed we did wrong."

Qur'an 82:6-19 Surah Al-Infitar
O man! what has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?
Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion and gave thee a just bias;
In whatever Form He wills does He put thee together.
Nay! but ye do Reject Right and Judgment!
But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you
Kind and honorable writing down (your deeds):
They know (and understand) all that ye do.
As for the Righteous they will be in Bliss;
And the Wicked they will be in the Fire
Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment.
And they will not be Able to keep away therefrom.
And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is?
Again what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is?
(It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: for the Command that Day will be (wholly) with Allah.

Qur'an 22:1-8 Surah Al-Hajj
O mankind! fear your Lord! For the convulsion of the Hour (of Judgment) will be a thing terrible!
The Day ye shall see it every mother giving suck shall forget her suckling-babe and every pregnant female shall drop her load (unformed): thou shalt see mankind as in a drunken riot yet not drunk: but dreadful will be the Wrath of Allah.
And yet among men there are such as dispute about Allah without knowledge and follow every evil one obstinate in rebellion!
About the (Evil One) it is decreed that whoever turns to him for friendship him will he lead astray and he will guide him to the Penalty of the Fire.
O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection (consider) that We created you out of dust then out of sperm then out of a leech-like clot then out a morsel of flesh partly formed and partly unformed in order that We may manifest (Our Power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term then do We bring you out as babes then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die and some are sent back to the feeblest old age so that they know nothing after having known (much). And (further) thou seest the earth barren and lifeless but when We pour down rain on it it is stirred (to life) it swells and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs).
This is so because Allah is the Reality: it is He Who gives life to the dead and it is He Who has power over all things.
And verily the Hour will come: there can be no doubt about it or about (the fact) that Allah will raise up all who are in the graves.
Yet there is among men such a one as disputes about Allah without knowledge without guidance and without a Book of Enlightenment.

Qur'an 7:158 Surah Al-A'raf
Say (O Muhammad): "O men! I am sent unto you all as the apostle of Allah to Whom belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth: there is no god but He: it is He that giveth both life and death. So believe in Allah and His apostle the unlettered Prophet who believed in Allah and His words: follow him that (so) ye may be guided."

Qur'an 17:88-89 Surah Al-Israa
Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur'an they could not produce the like thereof even if they backed up each other with help and support.
And We have explained to man in this Qur'an every kind of similitude: yet the grater part of men refuse (to receive it) except with ingratitude!
