To create a download portal with a permalink to the download page:

You're creating 3 pages:

1.Download index - where you list all your categories like java apps, symbian apps, etc. This is gonna be be just one page.
2. File list - where the files are actually listed. The number of file lists you have depend on the number of categories you're having. One category = one file list
3. File info page or download page. This is just gonna be one.

First create a new page/site and name it downloads. This is gonna be your index page

Next, you need to create your categories, aight? Go to the the site/page you created and named downloads. Create new pages on this Download index page. The number of pages you create here depends on the number of categories you want to have. Here's a model download index: http://wap.capriofiles.com/site_download_games_apps.xhtml

Now, let's create the the file info page. This page should be hidden and invisible in the Download index. Create the new file info page and in the name space, write :fstat-name-:get-file::

To hide this page, do to USERS > ITEM VISIBILITY > SET VISIBLITY TO ADMIN ONLY!
