While we were taught addition as kids, we were told that if a number passes ten we should carry one and write the other number. For example: 705 plus 306 = [5 + 6 = 11, write 1 carry one = 1], [0 + 0 = 0, add the one (1) you carried = 1], [7 + 3 = 10, since its the last number write the ten = 10], all of them now equals 1011, which is the answer you get when you add 705 and 306, i hope that rings a bell. Write a program that will print the number of carry out or down gotten while doing an addition. For the above case we carry out once. RULES 1)Your program should be able to accept two integers as input. 2)Run your code on www.ideone.com or if you can't post it here. 3)Any programming language is allowed. 4)Your code should be able to run with any input. 5)The shortest and fastest code wins. 6)Your code should be able to run on a poor cpu/hardware. Good luck. |
