I've gone to their facebook page and twitter to post a protest comment.Am also mobilizing other people to join the fight.

I also don't think it should concern android users only, it should also concern pc users. I mean, u get 3gb for 5k. Not all of us are facebook addicts, some of us can finish that 3gb in a day!!

If you are a gaming freak like me who plays online games all the time, how will you tell me to buy a blackberry? The best games they have is it not caro? Abi ticktackfoe? They don't even have ordinary Angry Birds. No Instagram. Should i continue? Abeg carry ur blackberry and shift.

Supported. It is not just about MTN, it cuts across all the network in Nigeria.
1. Glo is offering miserable 200MB + 60MB bonus = 260MB data volume for a whopping N1,000. Their N1,200 Somonth BIS plan gives 3GB data volume.
2. MTN is offering deadly 100MB + 100MB bonus = 200MB data volume for N1,000. Their N1,000 BBC plan is 'Unlimited'.
3. Airtel is offering 200MB for N1,000. Their N1,200 BSM plan is 1GB data volume.
4. Etisalat is offering 200MB for N1,000 data volume. Their N1,000 BIS plan is 'unlimited'.

This folly have to stop now.

Every Android user must join in protest against this injustice, I think beyond protesting to NCC we should also have Plan B, like boycotting these GSM providers data plan among others, just in case the NCC too has been compromised. Let's stand up for our right, Let's stand for justice.

I'm an Android user who plans to buy an iPhone or Windows phone soon so i need affordable plans that will work well on all platforms. Not just for Androids. We need to let them know that if we can.

This is not MTN, Airtel, glo, etisalat etc fault.
The networks are still not robust enough to offer larger bandwidth to subscribers.
What happen is that to maintain perculiar efficient blackberry service, RIM allow network providers to channel all data from their devices through their servers. With this, network providers are able to grant voluminous data to blackberry subscribers cos it is not passing through their servers.

Granting non-BB subscribers such data freedom officially through their servers would simply overwhemled network providers' servers and bring internet service to a crawl.

The issue can be solved if google or samsung could provide a specialized server just like that of RIM for BB, then network providers would simply channel all data from Android devices through the access point: google.com and open unlimited downloads for android devices. Simple
For now, manage with DroidVPN or any other till internet cost comes down.

Network providers don't use servers, they simply use routers.... Their own is to route the traffic not serve it bro

The data cap has no excuse, what they should do is put a threshold on 3G networks and once threshold has been met, all other traffic would be done via EDGE or GPRS like how in USA they route through 4G and once surpassed, go through 3G or less.... Simple

Honestly we are being ripped off. My brother uses an i-pad in the Uk and he pays a monthly subscription fee of £12-14 every month for unlimited access to the internet, while I pay N5000 for 3gig every 30 days on my modem. Why should Bb be the standard because of its data compression?

A heavy browser like me exhausts 4mb within an hour. Pls MTN, Airtel, Etisalat n Glo should hear our cry. Even if they don't want to make it unlimited, they should make it cheaper and affordable. 300mb for #500 won't be a bad idea.

Brothers and sisters, we can do anything if minds and hands are put together, they have called for this, let's give it to them the way they want it,

I suggest that everyone should go out there on Net and spread this campaign to all Famous Blogsite and Bloggers, send them links to this thread, let them Nigeria is ready to take up the her name and clean it from the mud.. Let them know that we need their the help if truly they are in support of Nigeria.

Carry the Campaign to facebook and twitters.. Contact Page admins on facebook. Find their contact!! Mail them asked them Nigeria need their help... Tell them its time to Stand for the Unity in the coat of arms... Its time to use the eagle to fly as the wind can carry the news.. By dawn I want all people in this be Aware of this Campaign..

We can do it... With the power of Naija...

Let's stop the deceit my dear. Glo gives me 5MB for N5 daily on G-BAM plan but, I ended using their so called 5MB for total 25MB (20MB extra FREE). Now, you just tell me, why do I need to pay N100 for a miserable 10MB when the same Glo is giving me 5MB for N5 daily? Let's wake and face the reality jor.

Please I want to report that we the android phone users are not happy with what MTN, ETISALAT, AIRTEL and co are doing. We the android phone users should be given a andriod package like that of BB plans. What they do to us is to make us subscribe to mb worth of N1000 and above and they give us just 200mb to 250mb. It is not good at all when we all know how android
can drain mbs. Please please NCC.

Just to add to what i said earlier...I have come across alot of video tutorials online on different fields which will be beneficial to people in the plight of development but most are even above 5GB in size also recently in the US they are trying to make online schools come to reality, I participated in a programming course straight from MIT for 4 months.... streaming videos, downloading materials etc with in that time i pulled over 8gb....are we ever expected to partake in such educative classes online? I wipe for Nigeria, too much limitations, that's why anytime i see successful people in the country i sure understand all they have passed through... if you have ever lived outside the country then you might understand better.... sad

I'm on Airtel 4gig at #1500.. Not everyone is eligible for it though. Here's the code: *440*161# or you can do Airtel 2gig plan at #1500 too *440*16# it's open to everyone.
