Listened to the presidents address at the 53rd anniversary of Nigeria today October 1st where he set up a committee to work out modalities for a sovereign national conference. A sovereign national conference involves all the ethnic group in a particular community coming together under a body to discuss how to move the nation forward.my pints started below why a soveriegn national conference should not hold
1.A soverein national conference would never take a day...it would involve the federal Government spending billions of Naira on this conference because they would have to lodge in an hotel for the period of the conference, eat, collect sitting allowance and all others.
2. There would never be sincere and equal representation of all the parties involved.
3. We already have a national assembly that sits together on weekly basis to discuss how to move the nation forward...its like we are duplicating the whole thing over again..then why do we have honourables and senators representing us?
Just a few submission..would be grateful if we can discus on the above...Happy independence..

^^^^^^

How do we know the ones coming in will not be there for their pockets as well?
I think the best thing right now is a referendum on breakup which is the reason for the whole conference anyways and if by some kind of stvpidity the regions actually vote for unity, then we can have a the conference
