The Missing Lover Within the hours the dark reigns over the light In the era that heralds the twilight Lives a beauty, the queen of the night Who glows in unspeakable beauty, pleasing to every sight The myth says at her arrival the entire sky spreads out like a sheet The stars march out in a brilliant fleet And that as she parades round every street All the nocturnal creatures gather around to greet So she comes every night from a far away land In search of her lover, her missing husband Holding her magical lamp in her hand That light up her way in a way no one is yet to understand Every night she searches and searches with no success She becomes miserable like a besieged fortress She wails and wails like a dethroned princess Indeed, the power of love moves even the Mother Nature goddess And just like the way the wind drifts away a balloon She rides on the dawn and leaves too soon Only for her husband to show up at noon Also to look for his missing wife, the goddess Moon. - Amberacious poems© (2013) http://amberacious.files./2013/10/ml4.jpg
