I don't claim to be a professor of english language but i have noticed the misuse of these two words by most Nigerians.

Been is the past participle form
of the verb to be. It is used with
the auxiliary verbs has, have,
and had to form perfect tenses:
How long has it been since you
were in Paris?
He had been writing that novel
for thirty years when he died.
How long have you been living
here?
Being is the present participle
form of the verb to be. It is
used with the auxiliaries is, are,
was, and were to form
continuous tenses:
Mary is being difficult.
The letter is being written.
It is used as a verbal, a word
that partakes of both verb and
noun:
Being polite is more productive
than being rude.
The word being can also be used
a noun meaning “creature.”

But i see many Nigerians using and mixing up these words. Examples i have seen on here:Have you being checking the

yeah. Thanks for pointing it out. I was using a phone and never cross checked before posting.
The words this and these are used before singular and plural nouns respectively. In the case above the subject "words" carries an 's' thus making it plural. This as used up there is incorrect and should have been these.

Examples, These cars and not This cars. These houses are painted blue and not this houses are painted blue. Thanks once again .

Will and would? Hmmm. .. Are those also confusing?

Yeah. You are communicating.

okay. On will and would. I got this from yahoo answers.
Would" is a word that
inflicts the past.
"Will" inflicts the
present or the
future.
For example:
"Would you have
eaten that if I told
you what was in
it?" (past)
"Will you come with
me
please?" (present)
"Will you do me a
favor
tomorrow?" (future)
So your sentences
can be:
Mr X. said to tell you
he will be here in a
moment or two.
He said to tell you he
will be back.
This way, please. Mr
X. said to tell you he
will be here shortly.
Mr.X said to tell you
he will be in later to
speak with you.
Others:
Mr. X would have
been here to meet
you yesterday.
Mr. X said he would
have liked to be here
to meet you this
morning

'I'm' and 'am'
joy. .You ba! Ok o.

IT'S a Nigerian thing to shorten i am to am which is very wrong. The am should have the I at the back always. Just because its shortened with the use of the inverted comma does not make it am. Am is a very different word from I'm. Its just like someone writing "is" when intending to write she's or he's.

But please guys. Am not the head teacher here. We should all contribute. Am learning here also
