The project is about building something like an intranet in a school where students can connect either through wireless connection or wired one,where they can chat, exchange ideas on courses and if possible transfer files. They can also do researches together. The plan is to create a central server like the internet where students can upload their files e.g pictures e.tc.what i'd like is for u guys to advice me on how to go about it and the equipments i'd need. i believe this will lead to greater and better things thanks a lot

Hi there, its quite easy, how big or how long are the cabling gonna Be? howmany PCs are we talking about here, basically
you need a dedicated server Unit,a Router preffered wired and cabling. and run your wires.

it is for a university environment so you can imagine how large that will be.the main aim is for as many people as possible to come on the server as long as you have a system or a means of connecting to the server that is all that is required.
