ASUU STRIKE: Government Gives ASUU One Week Ultimatum To Suspend Strike Or Face Sack.

The federal government has given the striking members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) till next Wednesday (December 4, 2013) to
suspend its five-month old
strike or face sack.
Supervising minister of education, Nyesom
Wike,
said this today in Abuja
and directed all Vice
Chancellors of Federal
Universities to open the
universities for academic
activities to resume and
provide enabling
environment for staff that
resume for work.
He also directed that the VCs should place
adverts
for both internal and
external vacancies in their

Dose who constitute d FG are useless....dey r meant to put deer proposals 2 ASUU in black n white n duly signed by relevant bodies to seal the new deal....they r yet to do that and now the military approach. This is nonesense for crying out loud. If the deal is left unsealed, the stryk is gonna b a persistent one in d long run.

This drama isn't funny anymore. Maybe ASUU should consider other options like street protests and occupy ministries. Sitting at home won't solve anything

These group of old men should call this strike off..one can see how serious they are with our education,, more than two weeks after meeting the president they are still looking confused, even mourning a fellow member for a whole seven days, they should hav escorted him to heaven nonsense..

I support FG on dis and seriously dislike ASUU lastest 3point-agreement. Dis game shld be WIN-WIN, but ASUU just want a WIN-LOSE approach.. Bt now it might be LOSE-LOSE for both of FG & ASUU members dat refuse to resume..
