vanguard1: This award serves to reward That Nairalander who had always cried out when he felt that Nairalanders are been maltreated or there glaring injustice on Nairaland.
RULE: every nairalander is eligible to nominate after which the judges will select three people each from the people already nominated by Nairalanders.
Nomination will end on the 20th of december 2013 10am and voting starts immediately and ends on 24th december 2013 10am after which the judges will collate.
I therefore formally declare the nomination process open.

If that's the case then the category should be called the most heroic nairalander, definitely not controversial.

Why don't you just make it two categories, one for heroic, the other for controversial.
When the real voting starts you could create separate threads for them, but now it's too late for that.
