The Tyrant While in power He was a strong tower He ruled the land With an iron hand His grip was firm All through his term He conquered all Made the democrats fall He looted the mint Carted away currency prints Feared by many Not admired by any His closest allies Held for him rallies When the ovation was loud He was too proud Then his sun set In the Indian girls' net And when he left Not a man ever wept (c) Oyeleke Toye culled from the soon to be published collection "Beauty And The Death" |
