Victoriousvic, you are right in a sense. These vehicles are not only the same in body, but similar in so many other ways. With information provided below, you will note that it does not matter which of the three you buy, because they are all the same due to cooperation between three major motor manufacturers. Their parts are generally interchangeable. I want to generate the interest of Nigerians on the these fantastic vans that are one of the best sellers in Europe and UK. Why would Nigerians shy away from these work horses? Read this cut and paste information from Wikipedia below:

''The current Trafic resulted from a joint venture between German Opel, Japanese Nissan and French Renault. It is also sold as an Opel Vivaro, Vauxhall Vivaro and by Nissan as the Primastar.


Designed by Renault's corporate design department based within the company's Technocentre outside Paris, the Trafic was developed by the engineering team of Renault's light commercial vehicle unit at Villiers-Saint-Fréderic. Manufactured by GM Manufacturing Luton at its plant in Luton—beside Primastar and the Vivaro—the Trafic was the first Renault vehicle to be built in the United Kingdom in more than 30 years.[5][6]

Nigerians tend to get fixated on certain information that does the rounds. A typical example is that vehicles from Europe and the Americas develop overheating because the thermostats have been left on. What happens next? These 'professionals' advise that you remove it. It would appear to work but with long term penalty and cost!

Another type of 'engines not to buy' is the diesel. The reason for this in my personal opinion is because there are not many mechanics with experience on them. They prefer the petrol which they got their 'freedoms' on. Do you know that diesel engines are made to last longer than their petrol counterparts? It is therefore no surprise that diesel engines at over 1,000,000 kilometres on the big trucks and trailers still cost an eye. Diesel engines will continue going as long as they are serviced regularly.
Please do not get me wrong. Every engine cannot last for life.

What I would like to suggest to budding future mechanics is to seriously consider specialisation in diesel engined vehicles. There is a market for this. The money is also there to be made. By being one, you will be one of the few elites in the trade!
Let Nigerians change their mind when it comes to what type of engine they are influenced to buy. Diesel in my view is better, more long lasting and are becoming quieter!
