The only thing the youths had learnt and brainwashed with by our leaders is corruption! Dimeji bankole, farouk lawal etc had the chance but where are they now? We need a man of integrity that will reorientate the system about corruption and common stealing. That will lay a new foundation for the youth. |

APC is not a northern party. The hidden principle of zoning has merely thrown up a northern presidential candidature for now. The East is in line to take it after the north. The problem the South has now is that there is a non performer in office. |

I agree with the post creator; Evil prevails when good men sit back and do nothing. Over the years, we have watched our nation been continuously plundered into a state of anarchy , confusion , poverty , mis-appropriation and mis-management all of which have resulted in the poor and terrible standard of living of the masses even though we live in the midst of so much wealth. All we seem to do is talk about it , complain and try to dissect the issue but at what point do we start to take matters into our hands to create the change we want. Irrespective of the party that wins, APC or PDP , they all belong to the same category of people, all old men who have plundered the resources of the nation and who have no intention of making things better; they have been in different positions of authority for over 15 years and the country and by extension the masses have been no better for it. It is the right of the people to elect people with the right character who they believe will serve them well irrespective of party or ethnicity; we need to start focusing on things that matter and stop celebrating and encouraging mediocrity. A lot of these politicians/rulers are people over 40 and have been clueless in fixing the nation and what we need are a brand new crop of leaders who have it at heart to serve ; our parents and the current Nigerians in the age group of these leaders have failed to do anything but have let their peers dismantle and ruin the country . Fela spoke and spoke and eventually gave his life for the sake of trying to get his peers to start thinking properly but all his peers did was drink beer and smoke weed while listening to his music without doing anything to support a movement capable of making any semblance of positive change. What the country needs is fresh , non-contaminated, creative and untainted thinking which can actually come from the youths but the youths also have to start making attempts to occupy these positions of authority. The minimum age to occupy a seat in the House of Representatives is 30 years and in the Senate is 35 years ; why dont the youth start to come together, pool resources together, create political party platforms and then start to identify fellow youths with proven ,unquestionable character and integrity and continuously make an effort to get these identified individuals to occupy these seats. The clueless APC and PDP representatives behave as they do unchallenged cause they have no significant opposition; its the same guys that make up the PDP who have failed the country continuously that are still occupying positions in the APC; so whats is the argument that can be made regarding the merit of them winning or loosing ; at the end of the day, its the same crop of people. "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results" !!!! The youths and other well meaning Nigerians need to get off their asses and stop apportioning blame and start working together to rid ourselves of the root cause of all our problems |
