helinues:Unfortunaley, logic left you behind. Only that you don't know it yet. |
helinues:What are we saying and what are you saying? How does me or my family being in poverty connect to what we are saying? Shouldn't someone impoverished become poor? |
casualobserver:While I'm reading it, go and read Nigeria's constitution and other laws governing her and you'd see that politicians are not supposed to steal our Commonwealth dry and that Nigeria is no one's personal holding. Also, there's something called human right that gives all men something called freedom of expression which Corper Raye exercised. Now answer this question: Did the young lady lie? |
Tinubu may not be a great leader, but he is undeniably a great politician. And what makes him so great? He’s an astute tactician. A good tactician sees all angles, anticipates every move, and is never caught off guard. During the 2023 campaign, this man openly laid out his plans, yet you dismissed them as gaffes, laughing at him and claiming he didn’t know what he was saying. He told you he would continue from where Buhari stopped—yet that wasn’t enough to wake you from slumber. He even went as far as saying he would employ 50 million Nigerian youths and “feed them agbado” (corn), and still, that didn’t set off alarm bells for you. If you haven’t realized by now that those so-called gaffes were actually well-placed hints at a carefully crafted political strategy, let me help you connect the dots. Buhari took over with the exchange rate below 200 naira to a dollar and left it at nearly 500—a reflection of how badly the economy tanked. Tinubu explicitly told you he’d continue from where Buhari left off, yet you weren’t alarmed. The “agbado” reference? That was him directly telling you his plan: to create so much hunger that food becomes a scarce luxury, making people feel lucky just to have a meal in exchange for labor. He literally said it—"employ 50 million youths and feed them agbado (work for meal...hand-to-mouth..,you get?)." If that isn’t clear enough by now, then I don’t know what is. At this point, you might be thinking, *But why would he deliberately do that? Why make Nigerians suffer and risk being hated?* Simple: it’s a strategy—a calculated move to manipulate and control the masses. This is chess. This is psychology. This is what’s called the weaponization of poverty. How the Plan Works If I steal all your food and starve you until you’re on the brink of death, then suddenly throw you just enough crumbs to keep you from dying, you’d be so grateful to me for “saving” you. Now, imagine this cycle repeating itself over and over—you’re constantly brought to the edge of starvation, only for me to "rescue" you at the last moment. Eventually, you’d start seeing me as some sort of messiah. And it works even better if you don’t realize I’m the one stealing your food in the first place. The logic is simple: create pain and suffering, then use them as tools to control the people. The goal? Make you so poor and hungry that you start seeing wealthy politicians—big men with big bellies—as gods. You follow them, hoping that one day, just maybe, they’ll eat too much, throw up, and you’ll get a chance to lick up their vomit. Robert Bolt captured this perfectly in A Man for All Seasons:A kidnapper abducts you, and you’ll pay whatever they ask—if you can afford it. If not, you’ll beg friends and family to raise the money by any means necessary. In that desperate moment, you’d be willing to give up anything just to stop the suffering and make the fear of instant death go away. Even the Bible acknowledges this tactic: > Job 2:4-6 KJVSatan himself advised God to use this strategy against man. And, as history has shown, wicked men have perfected and weaponized it—inflicting suffering upon others to gain control over them. This isn’t new. It’s an ancient evil. So don’t for a second think that the hardship you’re experiencing under Tinubu’s rule is accidental. It isn’t. It’s deliberate. It services a selfish personal agenda. Beyond personal agendas, even world organizations play the same card to keep smaller nations perpetually poor and small to control them. As 2027 approaches, they’ll ease the suffering just enough to make you feel relief. And in that moment of temporary comfort, you’ll re-elect them. Then, after their reign, the real goal unfolds—to turn themselves into the Rothschilds unending dynasty. #WeStandWithCorperRaye |
I stand with Raye |
I like this fellow. His understanding of business is topnotch. Effectively, what he's doing is upping his buyout price. |
Factcheck0001:You can tell yourself whatever you prefer to believe. Interests align here, religious difference is an index they'll manage. Expect Christian-Muslim ticket. And the Christian will be a Southerner from specifically the Southeast. |
Factcheck0001:They're even bigger religious fanatics, if we must go there. |
wellmax:That might just be his biggest mistake and political blunder that'll cost him everything. |
ruffhandu:Possibly. It's politics and someone who was recently with my enemy suddenly running to me doesn't mean he found instantaneous love for me. But we can keep our eyes peeled and suspicion alive while we still work to achieve common interest (if indeed they're common). |
Felabrity:He doesn't need to rule, all he needs do is to, out of spite for Tinubu, throw his support behind a more decent option who has wider reach and acceptance. |
Owontime:Wait until something is personal enough when someone fighting you has nothing to lose --El-Rufai sure doesn't. |
atiku4President:You do |
This is as a sequel to my post where I claimed the North might adopt Peter Obi for presidency come 2027 and some attack dogs came for me. See post here: https://www.nairaland.com/8364727/foresee-north-throwing-weight-behind I wrote how I perceive whatever opposition the North will cook up to involve Peter Obi (PO) and the Obidient movement but was laughed at. I just brought evidence to validate my permutations in form of tweets. There are three in all. And they were tweeted by the former governor of Kaduna State's son, Bashir El-Rufai, he confirmed my permutations. And to think I hadn't seen that tweet before my post! In one of the tweets, he referred to himself as a "fellow obidient", in another he said how PO is a great leader (we know it's mere political speak but let's just pretend and play along). The third tweet was of someone mentioning wishfully how they'd love it if the SDP coalition (the party Nasir El-Rufai decamped to) included personalities such as Peter Obi, Atiku, Prof Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi, and El-Rufai. Bashir answered that many of those were already part of it. Less than 24 hours and I'm already being proven right. I eagerly wait to hear what opposing opinions will have to say now.

kabillion:So asking that things be done right and calling out excesses is what you term indecorum? Just know that I'm like him and that's why I identify with him. As for him being dsiruptive, sincerely that's what is required to bring sanity to this nation. I advise you and every Nigerian to try it for a change. I mean for a revolution (note the word is from revolt) |
tunjijones:Wait till Tinubu is writing his will, doting his Is and crossing his Ts. Maybe he'd confess like IBB. |
kabillion:I'm flattered but, no, thanks. Besides, how can you be so sure, that me whom you have not seen have more decorum than Sowore? Moreover, it was people with decorum that drove us into the current mess we're in. Maybe it's time we tried indecorum. And by the way, what do you mean by decorum? Is it "table manners" aka not talking while at the same time eating? |
Anyiamaka:El-Rufai can't do it on his own and that's why he's seeking mergers. Jonathan underestimated Rotimi Anarchist and look what happened to him. El-Rufai isn't fighting to win...and that makes him very dangerous. |
bdon12:Why can't he win? Because Tinubu is doing so well and Nigerians love him so much? |
kabillion:I wish you guys can be capable of divorcing yourselves from your sentiments. I don't care who is ruling Nigeria as long as they rule well. The tribe, region, or religion becomes inconsequential. Tinubu isn't ruling well. Period. I'm pro Sowore as he seems untainted by the poison of corruption and dishonesty. |
Sharpsharp00123:Lol, and why did he want it cancelled? On what grounds? |
Sharpsharp00123:Like IBB and MKO, maybe Tinubu will be honest enough to say the truth when and if he decides to write a memoir. |
bdon12:I think I'm still with an evil u know than the one I don't. So Tinubu instead of El-Rufai. However, whatever you guys have seen this first term will be nothing compared to what's coming on his second coming. There's no more reason to play nice then. |
Sharpsharp00123:Keeping being sentimental and tribalistic. It's okay. Even if the rain doesn't touch you, it'll surely touch one of your family members. We all shop at the same markets. And the election you speak of wasn't won by Tinubu. |
Sharpsharp00123:Even a blind man will see that in his actions |
keymatt:Why did you say so? Anyway, don't tell. It's your opinion and you're entitled to it. |
Tochitee:At this point, El-Rufai is ready to make any coalition as long as BAT is shown the way out of office. It is in every way very personal to him. |
Factcheck0001:The North has no problem with him not condemning IPOB. They have something worst than that in their backyard. |
ibechris:Sowore is a better person and does mean well for the nation more than the rest career politicians. However, being a good person isn't equal to being a good leader. Although the fact that he has not joined the corrupt establishment is a point of encouragement. I'll take Sowore over Peter Obi but at the moment, the wheels aren't just set yet for him to win. But if he continues trying and doesn't give up, that day will come. The difference between Obi and Sowore is that while Obi can bring change, Sowore will usher in a revolution, being more of an activist than a politician. |
El-Rufai just ported to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) after consultattions with the immediate past president, Buhari, former vice president Atiku Abubakar of PDP, and Tinubu's one time right-hand-man and former governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola. Up North now, there is Buhari who is in APC but not in APC (he clearly didn't want Tinubu for president except for the "emilokan" outburst), Kwankwaso of NNPP and the Kwankwasiya Movement, now El-Rufai of SDP, then finally Atiku of PDP. All formidable splinters of the opposition. In the South, we have current president Tinubu of APC, Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP), and Omoyele Sowore of African Action Congress (AAC). The strongest of these three politically and at the same time the least liked is Tinubu. Peter Obi has the more popularity over Sowore and the most acceptance across the national strata of the three. Tinubu, though the president, has become even less marketable due to untold economic hardships and hunger brought on the Nigerian masses by his leadership policies -- such as has never been experienced before in the history of the country. Both up North and down South, the general sentiment about him is of regret. The average man won't want to vote him again even with pay (though I won't be too surprised, this is Nigeria where the people are too quick to forget). Enter Peter Obi Sowore, despite being the best of the three, if integrity and consistency are yardsticks, still lacks the political reach and structure to realistically emerge victorious. His day will come and I await eagerly for it like the dawning of a new age. And with him out, we're left with Peter Obi and his Obidient movement. Agreed, the current president, who is a Southerner, is a disaster, nevertheless, it is still the turn of the South. The North was allowed to complete their 8 years in Buhari. The South must also do the same, though not in Tinubu as no one can bear to have him anymore. His ousting for someone from the same region to take over is not only an answer to the heaves and sighs of the suffering and impoverished people of Nigeria, it also serves the political interests of many that he has had a falling out with (and he has no shortage of those, literally the entire North, South and every honest Nigerian). To honour the region-by-region power-sharing arrangement, the North is most likely going to align with Peter Obi to wrest the throne from Tinubu and APC with hope that he (Obi) would agree to only do the single remaining turn of the South and then let power revert to them in the North. El-Rufai will fight tooth and nail to see this happen much like Rotimi Amaechi did to remove Jonathan and usher in APC and Buhari. It has begun. Confirmation Bashir El-Rufai has confirmed my permutations. I made a post about it in the link below (with pictures) where he called himself an Obidient and Peter Obi a great leader. https://www.nairaland.com/8365189/bashir-el-rufai-refers-himself-obidient |
The dust roused by the insensitivity of Akpabio's utterances telling suffering Nigerians preparing to protest hardship brought on us by his ruling APC that he'd be at his house eating fried rice and chicken is yet to fully settle when an allegation of sexual harrassment has come to join it. And that's not the end of all his folly. https://www.nairaland.com/8171549/eating-while-protest-akpabio-mocks#131255586 Why is it always Akpabio and should someone like him truly remain the president of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria? Without sentiment, I think he should resign. |
