Christianity EtcAs A Christian You Should Practice Giving Thanks To God by 1StrongerMan(op):
I welcome you today to Sunday encouraging sermon on Nairaland.
I want you to know that God is good and God loves you. As a Christian you should have faith in God and believe in the power of God.

Our sermon topic for today is As A Christian You Should Practice Giving Thanks To God.

Let see what the scripture says about giving God thanks
PSALMS 50:14
Let the giving of thanks be your sacrifice to God and give the Almighty all that you promised.

God want his people; those who believe in him and in his begotten son Jesus Christ to offer him thanks always because giving God thanks is a sacrifice that honour God.

You give God thanks by telling him "thank you God for keeping me alive and for the good things you are doing for me"
You give God thanks by singing gospel song of thanksgiving to him: for example there is this gospel song that says " thank you for saving me thank you my Lord hallelujahs"
You can also give thank to God by giving testimony in church: standing in front of in the congregation of God's people telling them the good things God did for you and also giving the church cooked or uncooked foods or money as a form of thanksgiving offering to God.

As a Christian learn to practice giving thanks to God always. You can bring out 30minutes of your time to sing song or songs of thanksgiving to God or just be thanking God for all the good things you can remember that God have done for you and your family; example God of heaven I thank you for preserving my life and the lives of my family and I thank you for helping me to sleep at night and always woke up every morning.

PSALMS 136:1
Give thanks to the LORD because he is good; his love is eternal.

2 CORINTHIANS 1:3
Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the merciful Father the God from whom all help comes!

It is a good thing to always give God thanks because when you honour God by giving him thanks then he rewards you by blessing you and doing more good things for you.

There is a reader of this sermon that is having miscarriage but the LORD is telling you woman that if only you can give him thanks for one hour in seven days at midnight by waking up from anytime between 12am - 3am and singing song of Thanksgiving to him for one hour then will you experience the miracle working Power of God in action and then will the demon of miscarriage be driven out from your pregnancy and as God will give you victory.

There is a reader of this sermon that have been looking for job for some time now and could not find any job. Any place you go to look for job always reject you by telling you no vacancy or by saying to you that someone else have already be employed into that position before you came but the LORD is telling you today that if only you can give him thanks for one hour in seven days at midnight by waking up from anytime between 12am - 3am and singing song of thanksgiving to him for one hour then will you experience the miracle working Power of God in action and then will the demon of joblessness be driven out from your life and as God will give you victory.

2 Corinthians 2:11
In order to keep Satan from getting the upper hand of us; for we know what his plans are.

I encourage you my sermon readers to always give God thanks In order to keep Satan from getting the upper hand of you and learn to put to practice the word of God you all have read and as you do so; may God of heaven bless you in Jesus Christ name amen amen.

I understand your plea but you need to show us verifiable proof that you are indebted to a person or an entity to be able to get genuine help from here.

I have donated and dashed money to several persons here in the past, some later turned out to be gamblers (superintendent and FatherChristmas et'all 😏) and some turned out to be full blown scammers who probably use dthe money I gave them to sniff puff or drugs cry

I am still trying to gauge your own life, sadly your profile and posts history gives me no further information to clear my doubts cry
What I am telling you is the truth. I don't know what kind of proof you are seeking but the truth is what I tell you.

A Heartfelt Cry for Help: Join Hands To Pay Off A Debilitating Loan

Dear Nairaland Members

I come to you today with a heavy heart, bearing the weight of a crippling loan debt. The amount of ₦155,000 may seem insignificant to some, but to me, it represents a constant source of stress, anxiety, and financial strain.

As I struggle to make ends meet, I'm reminded of the wise words of Proverbs 22:7, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender." I feel enslaved by this debt, and I yearn for freedom.

But I know I'm not alone. I have faith in the goodness of Nairaland Members and the power of Nairaland community. That's why I'm reaching out to ask for your help. Your contribution, no matter how small, can help me pay off this debt and start anew.

As the Bible says in Galatians 6:2, "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." I'm asking you to carry my burden, to help me shoulder the weight of this debt.

Your support would mean the world to me. It would be a reminder that I'm not alone, that there are people who care and are willing to lend a helping hand.

So, I implore you, please consider contributing to help me pay off this loan. Any amount would be a blessing.

Let's come together to lift each other up, to show that we're stronger together than we are alone.

You can contribute by sending money to My Bank Account Number: 3071631838; First bank. Please after giving your financial support; comment with the amount paid so I will thank you personally.
Any amount you can give will be deeply appreciated.

I am grateful for your consideration, and I look forward to your support. Thank you for taking the time to read this request.

Remember, your generosity can be a blessing to both the giver and the receiver (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

Christianity EtcA Humble Request For Financial Support: Lending A Hand In Times Of Need by 1StrongerMan(op):
As I sit down to write this article, I am reminded of the words of the Bible, which encourage us to bear one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2). In this spirit, I am reaching out to ask for your financial support during a challenging time.

The Bible teaches us that giving is a fundamental aspect of our faith. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, it is written, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." I believe that your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a significant difference in my life.

Proverbs 19:17 says, "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done." Your financial support would not only be a blessing to me but also a demonstration of your compassion and kindness.

I am not asking for help lightly, but I am confident that with your support, I can overcome this difficult period. Your contribution will go directly towards repayment of my 135,000 naira loan debt.
In Philippians 4:19, Paul writes, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." I trust that God will provide for my needs, and I believe that your generosity can be a tangible expression of His provision.

If you are able to support me financially, please consider doing so. Your gift can be a source of encouragement and hope during this challenging time.

You can contribute by sending money to my bank account; bank account number is 3071631838; first bank. Any amount you can give will be deeply appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this request. I am grateful for your consideration, and I look forward to your support.

Remember, your generosity can be a blessing to both the giver and the receiver (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
Christianity EtcThe Dangers Of Prostitution: A Call To Holiness by 1StrongerMan(op): 5:29am On Dec 15, 2024
Today, we want to address a topic that is often shrouded in secrecy and shame. Prostitution is a reality that affects many lives, and as Christians, we need to address it from a biblical perspective.

Prostitution is a complex issue that involves exploitation, abuse, and sin. It is a form of sexual immorality that is condemned by God.

In our text today, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, the Apostle Paul writes, "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body."

Proverbs 23:27-28: For a prostitute is a deep pit and a narrow well is the adulteress. Like a bandit she lies in wait and multiplies the unfaithful among men.

Leviticus 19:29: Do not degrade your daughter by making her a prostitute, or the land will turn to prostitution and be filled with wickedness.

Prostitution is not just a sin against God, but also against oneself. It involves the exploitation of one's body for financial gain, and it can lead to physical, emotional, and spiritual harm.

But prostitution is not just a problem for those who are involved in it. It is also a problem for our society as a whole. Prostitution is often linked to human trafficking, organized crime, and the spread of diseases.

So, what can we do to address this issue? First, we need to recognize that prostitution is a symptom of a deeper problem. It is a symptom of a society that values sex over relationships, and material gain over human dignity.

Second, we need to reach out to those who are involved in prostitution. We need to show them the love and compassion of Christ, and help them to find alternative ways of supporting themselves.

Third, we need to advocate for policies and laws that protect vulnerable individuals from exploitation. We need to stand up against human trafficking and organized crime, and work towards creating a society that values human dignity and worth.

Finally, we need to recognize that prostitution is not just a problem for others, but also for ourselves. We need to examine our own hearts and minds, and ask ourselves whether we are contributing to the problem of prostitution in any way.

Are we supporting the sex industry through our consumption of pornography or our patronage of strip clubs? Are we objectifying women and treating them as mere objects for our own gratification?

If so, then we need to repent and seek forgiveness. We need to recognize that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and that we are called to honor God with our bodies.

Prostitution is a complex issue that requires a multifaceted response. As Christians, we need to recognize the dangers of prostitution, and work towards creating a society that values human dignity and worth.

We need to reach out to those who are involved in prostitution, advocate for policies and laws that protect vulnerable individuals, and examine our own hearts and minds to ensure that we are not contributing to the problem.

Let us pray for those who are trapped in prostitution, and for our society to be transformed by the power of the Gospel.

May God bless us as we seek to address this important issue.

Christianity EtcFear Not: Finding Peace In God's Presence by 1StrongerMan(op): 6:39am On Oct 20, 2024
Psalm 23:4 Even if I go through the darkness, I will not be afraid, LORD, for you are with me. Your shepherd's rod and staff protect me.

Isaiah 41:10 Do not be afraid - I am with you! I am your God - let nothing terrify you!
I will make you strong and help you; I will protect you and save you

Do you know someone who is held captive by fear? Perhaps it's you? Fear can be overwhelming, suffocating, and debilitating. But today, we're reminded that we serve a God who is greater than our fears.

Fear is a natural human emotion, but when it consumes us, it can lead to anxiety, doubt, and unbelief.

Fear can paralyze us from taking steps of faith, cause us to doubt God's goodness and sovereignty and lead us to seek security in worldly things rather than God.

But God's Word tells us: fear not, for I am with you (Isaiah 41:10), I will fear no evil, for You are with me (Psalm 23:4) and do not be afraid, for I have overcome the world (John 16:33)

You can we overcome fear by focusing on God's presence and remember that God is always with you, by trusting in God's sovereignty and believe that God is in control, cast your cares on Him by releasing your fears to God in prayer and walk by faith as you take steps of obedience, trusting God's guidance.

In Matthew 14:22-33
22 Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. 23 And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, 24 but by this time the boat, battered by the waves, was far from the land,d for the wind was against them. 25 And early in the morning he came walking toward them on the sea. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.”
28 Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 29 He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat, started walking on the water, and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he noticed the strong wind,e he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 When they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Peter walked on water, but when fear crept in, he began to sink. Jesus rescued him, saying, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"

Don't let fear hold you back. You are not alone. God is with you. Trust Him, and He will give you peace that surpasses understanding.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to You, acknowledging our fears. Help us to trust in Your presence and sovereignty. Give us courage to overcome our fears and walk by faith. Thank You for Your promises and Your love.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
