AM INTERESTED IN GOING INTO FULL TIME WEB MASTER AND EVERYTHING ABOUT WEB DESIGN, MY AIM IS TO UNDERGOE THIS COURSES: DATA BASE, PROGRAMMING AND WEEB DESIGN, THOUGH I WOULD BE WALKING INTO THE NIIT OFFICE SOON, BUT I WANT A LITTLE ACKNOWLEGDEMENT I MEAN A LITTLE SCOPE ABOUT WHAT DATA BASE IS ABOUT, WHAT A PROGRAMMER DOES.

A programmer is supposed to be solving problems especially repetitive tasks by coding. Look around your environment, your office, what are the repetive tasks? how can u simplify it?
I remember the first software i made some years back, almost a decade now, was for a video club, i use visual basic 6.0 and access database , at least it kept a log of the films, where they are, when they are expected back, the main job of the software is to reduce paper work.
Web design is similar - just some slight differences and terminologies. At the begining i do more of software programming and network programming, but somehow i prefer web development - and that is wat i do most of the time - i havent touched any programming compiler in a long while now.
And just learning it is not enough, u must keep learnin because there is alwayz new technology and new techniques here and there,
Just make sure u join a good forum where u can find ppl of similar interests that can be of good help.
