hi guys, came across a dilema of some sorts. my sis wanna buy a car,shipped in from the us. the odometer reads 50,000. how do i confirm the unit of the mileage as in is it in km/miles. reponses will be appreciated. car is a 2003 honda civic.

Its going to be in Miles, i think, its eventually 50,000miles, that is the total distance moved its whole life

Most cars from the US have their odometer in miles.

thanks guys. actually i suspected but my fears were confirmed when the car was brought from lagos to abuja and the increase in mileage showed some 400+ shocked
think iv learnt a new thing in cars mileage cos the seller was braggin on the mileage and we all tot twas in km.

Don't forget that some dubious dealers can roll back the odomer. to confirm the actual millage of the car, I'll suggest you get the vin number and run a carfax report on it.
