Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Ayodele Fayose has said the wife of the President of the country, Dame Patience Jonathan will be given a rousing welcome in the State on Monday, March 16, 2015.
The wife of the President who is scheduled to be in the state in furtherance of the campaign for the re-election of Dr Goodluck Jonathan, will address the women on the need to re-elect Dr Jonathan.
Governor Fayose, while addressing journalists after meeting with some party members said Ekiti state is noted for good mobilization, saying the party in the state will accord the wife of the President a rousing welcome, because she deserves all the honour that could be accorded her.
The State helmsman affirmed his support for the re-election of the President, saying he had been at the forefront of his campaign and he has no apology about that.
He said women will be well represented in the administration to be formed in the state soon, noting that some will be Commissioners while others will be Special Advisers depending on their capacities.
The wife of the Governor, Mrs Feyisetan Fayose on her part, emphasized that President Jonathan must be returned as President for the Presence of the Federal to be felt in the State.
She therefore called on women to ensure adequate support for the re-election of the PDP Presidential candidate in the March 28, 2015 Presidential elections.
A committee to be headed by Mr Omolayo Omolase was set up to ensure a hitch free welcome for the President’s wife.
