One thing people have always requested about AI is that it should be open source and decentralised. Chat gpt was not open source and that was where Deepseek came in.
But people later realized that Deepseek was a tool of the Chinese govt and wasn't decentralised. For instance, someone on Reddit shared a screenshot of asking Deepseek about the number of people killed by the Chinese govt during a certain time, Deepseek said "it had no idea and that we should talk about something else". 🤣🤣🤣.
That was the red flag that made people know that while Deepseek exposed the western governments, it hid damning info about the Chinese government.
And secondly, it lacked speed. The speed at which Nvidia delivered API calls was light years ahead of Deepseek. Businesses that required fast and on the spot info definitely couldn't use it.

Failed project. I warned WriterNG to slow down on the propaganda that time.
