Personally left to me I don't see any big deal about this cos even a brain dead billionaire pikin still has great advantage than the most brilliant student from the poorest home.

Stories that motivate me are stories of rags to riches not stories of billionaire pikin to billionaire.

When we were young, we had a guy called Felix, he was so dull in school that he had F in all his subjects n we nicknamed him ozone layer.

As it was then, public schools were still very standard so Felix was told to repeat, all his father did was just send him to a private school n was part of PTA committee viam Felix finish secondary school.

The father being a big custom officer no waste time, Felix the ozone layer was sponsored abroad n today e get mouth pass we wey brilliant for class then.

Imagine someone who travelled abroad immediately after secondary school around 2007, imagine how much e go don make n how soft him go b by now.

Study the book called millionaire next door by Thomas Stanley. You will find that children of most millionaires don't make it.

A large amount of our crude had already been contracted/sold long ago, long before Dangote refinery was completed. We can't afford to default the contractual aggrements with our foreign clients. Supply of crude would have to be resolved on a negotiation table with lots of concessions involved.

As a short cut, just multiply 1.3333333 by your basic to get what you were supposed to add to your initial salary.
That's (70000-30000)/30000=1.33333333
So 1.33333333×48000=64000

Then add it to your current net pay of 124k. The total which is 187k should be your present salary

Yes you are right. My calculation gives 64,000. My salary is 131k. So 131k+64k = 195k. Im of the UBE.
Reason for the difference in value between yours and mine is because you used the approximate value of 133 while i used the exact value of 133.3333333
Yes what they use is the basic. When it was moved from 18k to 30k, i used same calculation to arrive at what we were earning then. Then our basic was about 24k.

this assumption of 70k as basic salary of level 12 is very much on the high side . Presently level 13 step 7 earns only about 57k as basic salary

Our basic is 48k. That's for level 12.

The minimum wage increase only affects your basic salary. Note: basic salary is just a fraction of your tatal salary. You can get the basic salary from your pay slip. If the basic salary is 48,000, old mw is 30,000, new mw is 70,000. % increase=((70000-30000)/30000)×100 =133.33%
133.33% of 48,000 = (133.33/100)×48000=63,840
63,840 is now your new basic salary.
So, your new salary will be 63,840 + sum of other components of you former salary.
This was also the template i used when it was moved from 18k to 30k and i received exactly what i got from my calculation.
