Hello Nairalanders

I was at an interview recently in a production industry (Name withheld for obvious reasons), the interviewer kept asking a question, "What will you do, as a quality control personnel, if you discover a worker in the production line is not quality-compliant".

She asked the question again, and was so keen on my answer, "what if you notice a production worker is not using the right quality material?"

My answer was that i would try to communicate with such person and make him/her see reasons to stop and do the right thing, but it seems my answer wasn't satisfactory, she pressed further to ask, what if the person disobey?, i then said if my pleas falls on deaf ears, i will report to the higher authority to take it up.

Was i wrong? was i right?

NB: Please don't ask for clues on the industry, I WILL NEVER GIVE THAT, we all understand the importance of confidentiality.
