End Of Boko Haram In Sight, Says Buhari by Rapsainot(m): 7:20pm On Jul 08, 2015
"President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday assured Nigerians that the end of the Boko Haram sect and terrorism in Nigeria is in sight.Buhari gave the assurance in a statement made available to journalists by his Senior Special Assistanton Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu. The President was reacting to latest terrorist attacks in Jos, Kano, and Zaria. The statement quoted the President as saying that hewas convinced of his position because of the recent positive developments in the nation’s security forces. He therefore urged Nigerians to remain security conscious and be swift in reporting suspicious movements around them to security agents.“The President is convinced that with recent increase in troops deployment, improvements in the supply of arms and equipment to the military, as well as the ongoing effort to mobilise greater international cooperation and support, the end of Boko Haram and terrorism in Nigeria is in sight.“He calls on Nigerians to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons to security agents as his administration continues to give the highest possible priority to eradicating Boko Haram and ensuring greater security of lives and property across the country,” the statement read in part.Buhari consoled all Nigerians who lost relatives in the latest terrorist atrocities in Jos, Kano, and Zaria, as well as those who were injured in the attacks. He, however, urged all Nigerians not to be unduly disheartened by what he called the seeming resurgence of terrorist attacks and atrocities in the country. He said his administration remained committed to overcoming the challenges of insecurity, terrorism and insurgency as quickly as possible. The statement added, “Already, the intensified onslaught by the military on terrorists’ strongholds hasled to significant seizures of weapons and vehicles, a blockage of their sources of arms and ammunition, and a decimation of their fighting men.“President Buhari assures Nigerians of the ability and readiness of the country’s armed forces and security agencies to contain the frantic resort by the terrorists to attacks on soft targets such as crowds and places of worship.”"

No doubt the North is behind the South in almost everything and this can be attributed to leadership failure over the years despite North holding to power for so long.

If the North feels Jonathan didn't do enough for them in terms of the fight against Bokoharam which I believe they created, they have one of their own as President. PMB has no reason not to destroy Bokoharam for Nigeria and mainly for the North and I pray God gives him the wisdom to make Bokoharam history.

The task of rebuilding Nigeria and destroying Bokoharam and its sponsors is a task that must be done.

It looked like the end of Boko Haram was in sight during the twilight of GEJ's administration. Everyone could attest that before GEJ handed over, Boko Haram were at their lowest ebb in years due to effective and extensive military offensive launched against them.
However, since Buhari assumed office, Boko Haram has found their rhythm once again, claiming over 600 lives in less then 2 months and scoring hattricks of bombings here and there.
Their end does not seem to be in sight, with all due respect.
Buhari should say what he did to the military.

We know these are the last kicks of a dying horse Baba. They are desperate, and now they are looking for soft targets that will generate news and give the impression they are winning.

PMB has done it before, he will do it again.

Sai baba !!!!!!!!! I think he knows what is saying , soon he will grant them amnesty then the terrorism is over and the he come publicly to tell us how he stopped the boko harams. Amnesty to terrorism shows that the government is weak by recognising the terrorists and red flag to our country image.
