Hi nairalanders, a friend of mine share this maths with me to solve but after racking my brain and doing all the 'abracadabra' i know in mathematics, i still can't solve it... i will be glad if the mathematicians in the house can help me out.. Thanks

nice attempt though, but 7.5 and 9.5 are not among numbers given... Don't know where you derived that.

If iam to interpret that answer into base 10 which is the actual form that question has been defined, that's how best I feel I can go about it cos widout 1, no head-way so, not to go against the oddity of the numbers, I had to split 1 and add each half to every whole. LoL ...
