I'm an avid user of open source solutions in solving everyday problems. From open source ERPs to VLEs, I enjoy playing, tweaking or deploying them. I've recently deployed THE leading open source VLE for use as a CBT solution using only it's quiz module. Tricky stuff but it worked.

Today, I was reading about the release of the Unilag POST-UME and was surprised to see this

“A total of 393 results were initially withheld on suspicion of malpractice but on further scrutiny, 271 of these results have been confirmed as cases involving malpractice."

My question is this: How would one detect examination malpractice from a Computer based test considering that the chance of any two candidates getting the same exact set of questions is very minimal if a sufficiently large question bank is utilised?

Looking forward to your thoughts and ideas
