I hear people say:
Their mates are getting married.
Their mates are getting good jobs.
Their mates are succeeding.
Their mates are living in overseas.
Their mates are buying cars.
Their mates are building houses.
Their mates are this........ Their mates are that......

Yet they literally forgot about their mates in the mortuary, psychiatric homes, on the street, they also forgot that some of their mates are jobless, hungry, blind and even deaf, in jail with out committing any crime, slept yesterday and gave up the ghost, don't have any single source for daily living.

You might not be were you ought to be but have obviously transcended to a greater platform than previous days.
Learn to be appreciative of who you are, what you are, where you are and things will be better for you.
