Let the birds be X and the bird Y. X + X/2 +Y = 100. Solving, you have. 3X = 200—2Y since the bird Y is one, therefore, Y= 1 3X = 200—2 3X = 198. Therefore, the number of birds flying is X = 198/3 Answer = 66 #ilovemathematics  3 Likes |
