I hailed from the west
You emerged from the north
Can you see the other man
He's of the east and south

We are never the same
In circumstances of birth
And of blood relation
We milked from differ breast

I make no sense with my tongue
And you speak meaningless too
Your accent is never
Alike with my 'Yoruba-Yoruba'

The great niger and benue
Had divinely wedded each other
Offspring the nation Nigeria
Our land of peace,hope and progress

Brother, never let it be
From you or from me
The killing of the progeny
Of the divine matrimony
