I have this discussion with someone and I'm not really sure about computers so I'm asking you guys. This is gonna sound ridiculous but,
Ok if you are offline meaning not on the internet can you still get the sound that says "You have mail"? Like a couple of times in a row. And what about a buzzer sound?
I'm pretty sure one would have to be connected to the internet right? Or can those sounds be stored somewhere on your computer without being on line?

It's sure a ridiculous question like you said. There's no way u'll get a buzzer sound or any other sound if you're not connectedto the internet.
