If you are truely sure that you wish to sell this car, it will be best in your interest to review your price downward objectively.

No sir it wasnt a "wrong convesion calculation". U intended to dupe and u were caught napping
Re: removed by toy1000: 9:14pm On Jun 11, 2009
@hancock.
You are wrong. I am a German. We don´t such things. I used an online currency converter (cfa to naira) but these systems
do not reflect the real conversion. My agent in Cotonou then told me that I got to change this.
Re: removed by heartbeaty: 3:23pm On Jun 12, 2009

Good-looking Honda you've got there.

You're German?

And use phrases like:

"Pls drop your email."
"Full option."

I'd have sworn you were Nigerian.

The odometer mechanical digits don't line up - the only digit that could be out of line, is the extreme right one.
Never any of the middle ones, which could point to something else.

Odometer rollback.
Is the mileage verifiable in any way at all?

The oddometer is not manipulated! The best way to find out if an oddometer is manipulated is to check out the overall condition of a car and its parts: engine (look and sound), exhausting systems
but also the condition of the interior.

Please which part of the world do you CHECK Odometer manipulaton through the means you stated lipsrsealed

Sir, i beg to differ. from what you implied above we should check the overall condition?
before i left naija i had a carina E i had run the mileage up to 322k (over 6 years) and it still looked, drove and sounded impeccably.
both on the interior and exterior. such an example could be rolled back to 172k comfortably without setting off any red flags
in the eyes of would be buyers.
So my dear Germangerian friend you have to put up some better argument or some proof of service history.
just my 2 Deutsche Marks grin grin grin

Why do you protest so much, and why are you so convinced the odometer hasn't been tampered with? Do you know the seller?

Yes, overall condition of a car gives a vague idea of the cars overall use. In these days, modern cars will do well over 300,000 miles, and still run and sound good, if looked after, so mileage verification by that alone is far from enough.

As for your question, it doesn't matter in which part of the world you live in - it's one of the most basic things you'll be told to look out for, in a mechanical odometer - if the digits don't line up, it's not right! Manufacturers don't make mechanical odometer that have staggered digits like the one pictured above.

It's not about being cocky - it's just common sense, and I stand to be corrected. I'm no longer saying, it looks like the odometer has been tampered with - I'm categorically stating it HAS been manipulated! The digits have been forced back with a screwdriver, or similar, and the result is staggered digits, as the plastic cogs between the digits break.

This is a clocked car!
