Mk. 9:23 “`If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.” Everything is possible for any person that believes in Jesus. But the Christian gospel being preached today supposes that it is impossible for a human being to conquer sin. The message commonly heard among Christians today is that God knows that we cannot obey His commandments and so sent Jesus to keep them for us and die for our sins, so that anyone who gives her/his life to Jesus does not have to bother to keep God’s laws because Jesus’s obedience is substituted for our disobedience. Unfortunately, this new gospel is a clever deceit by the devil, and the devil has captured and trapped many Christians by it. 1Jn. 3:4 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 1Jn. 3:5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 1Jn. 3:6 No-one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No-one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. 1Jn. 3:7 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 1Jn. 3:8 He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. 1Jn. 3:9 No-one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 1Jn. 3:10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. Jesus purpose of coming to the world is to take away our sins. If sins are taken away, they will no longer be seen in us. Anyone who is not righteous is not a child of God. Only righteous people are children of God. Unfortunately, the new gospel now condemns personal righteousness and brands it “self-righteousness”. It says that personal righteousness of Jesus covers all who have received Jesus, so that their personal righteousness doesn’t matter. That is a lie of the devil. |

Why do we need to be Sinless? Sin brought about the fall of man. Any person who is not sinless is still fallen. Any person that gets rid of sin from her/his life has risen up from the fall. It is very strange to hear a person who still commits sin claiming that s/he is saved and that others are sinners. Ge. 3:22 And the LORD God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” Ge. 3:23 So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. Ge. 3:24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side [Or placed in front] of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life. God drove man away from the tree of life because of sin. Man can never get to the tree of life unless sin can no longer be found in him. Mt. 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. |

The Experience of Apostle Paul Ro. 7:21 So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. Ro. 7:22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; Ro. 7:23 but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. Ro. 7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Ro. 7:25 Thanks be to God — through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. Ro. 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, [Some later manuscripts Jesus, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit,] Ro. 8:2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. Ro. 8:3 For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, Ro. 8:4 in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. Paul did not believe in Jesus, until he had a great encounter with him on his way to Damascus. In that encounter, Paul accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He was led to Damascus a blind man; there he was baptized into Jesus Christ and also received the Holy Spirit. Even though he had given his life completely to Jesus Christ, he was being greatly harassed by sin. He called himself a wretched man because he knew that there could be no spiritual progress as long as sin reigned in him. He had a strong desire for salvation from sin. He asked, “Who will rescue me from this body of death?” Mt. 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Paul hungered and thirsted for righteousness, so God revealed to him the secret of righteousness. The secret is that the righteous requirements of the law can be fully met only in those who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life sets these people free from the law of sin and death. Paul began to live according to this secret principle of righteousness and saw his life free from sin, without exerting much will power. He found it so easy to stay unmarried, without being disturbed by sensual lust. The reason why I can write this piece is because, by the grace of God, I recently understood the secret of righteousness and began to operate the principles. My life has been undergoing serious transformation. |

Practice of the Principle of Righteousness The principle: The righteous requirements of the law can be fully met only in those who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life sets these people free from the law of sin and death. The principle can only be practiced through Jesus Christ. Have you been baptized into the name of Jesus Christ since you accepted him as your Lord and Savior? It is only through water baptism that you can be baptized into the name of Jesus Christ. Unless you are baptized into that name, the power behind sin may resist any effort you make to overcome it. Ac. 4:12 Salvation is found in no-one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Only those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit can conquer the sinful nature. Have you received the Holy Spirit since you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Ro. 8:13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, Ro. 8:14 because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Recall that Paul received Jesus as his Lord and Savior, was baptized in water into the name of Jesus and received the Holy Spirit. Even after all these, sin was harassing him. What moved God to save him from sin was his great desire for personal holiness. You must continually have great hunger and thirst for righteousness. Then, as you continuously pray to God to put to death the sinful nature in you and manifest in you and through you the fruit of righteousness, by His Holy Spirit, you will continuously grow in righteousness. |
