City of many nations
Ogling at the gulf
Lying halcyon on a sandy plain
Playing with the ocean breeze
The rocks and the mountains are far from its sui generis
The springs, the valleys are lost from its locus

City overgrown by bricks
Centre of amazement and caprices
From the suffering smiling lively shanties
To those beautiful mean boring villas
An allure when exquisites are far
Beauty when beast are close

City with a difference
Convergence of ethnicities
Voices of traditions telling tales of cultures
Feeble and strong beating the colors of their drums
Even under the strength the angry sun emits,
The stiffened moon the warm cross embrace

City faster than a bullet train
Morning and evening like bees they flock
Ire sweaty severe faces clashing
Beauty easy gentle smiles exchanging
Singing, dancing, laughing, weeping
Yet on a pushing cart, "life goes on"

City for the brave
City for the wise
On its streets volumes speaks
Pictures on every banner reads
We Make men, we love clods
Because "eko oni baje"
