To start with, Before you can be awarded higher national diploma in any course, you must have gone through hard academic labour of five years,
But what baffles the most is when you get to labour market, you found out that you are been under value base on your HND certificate, depression came in as a result of seeing someone with B.sc gaining recognition and Approval.

For that, you still summon Courage that it won't end there, that since HND certificates value No longer in presence Of Majority Employers, cause of B.sc Graduates, You tend To further Your Education, but to only know your 5years program had no meaning in Universities settings.

The discrimination between B.sc and HND graduates in Nigeria cannot be over emphasised, recognition given to our HND graduates in this country is far below expected.

If you want to continue with University to Further your Education, You still have to start From 300level, and if is PGD you enrolling for which all still cost another extra years to complete and with huge fund, B.sc still take the top Ranking at Work place

Our HnD graduates ain't getting job as expected, B.sc counterpart has taken all the jobs available all in the name of the hype behind the certificates.

Some co-operate bodies pay more money to BSc graduates than HND graduates and they still play the same role in the company, HND graduates fall behind the pecking order in the rankings of different organisation,which bring discrimination among workers.

As a matter of fact the polytechnic student are open to more of practicals than the university student but all we see is organisation still given them more edges on the field.

If only the federal government, Our distinguish senators, Legislators can bridge the gap between the polytechnic and university then other bodies will show some respect to the certificate.

The fight for the freedom of polytechnic and discrimination by the academic union of polytechnic staffs should not stop until they achieve their objectives in bringing equivalence to both certificates.

We are product of a Well Known polytechnic, I support the motion to end the discrimination between Hnd/Bsc.
