Christianity EtcThe Journey Of Life by 2dcool(op): 11:10am On Oct 13, 2015
"...and you shall here a voice telling you This is the way, walk in it..."

Want to be a successful Christian? Let the word show you the way, then you walk in it continuously. Don't stop.

Wanna be a successful programmer? What the pros can do for you is to show you the way through teaching (this could be formal or informal). Then you are responsible to walk (journey) in the way that they've shown you.

There's a limit to what people can do for you, no matter how much they love you. Just as you have a God given purpose for your life, so also, they have theirs.
Their knowledge, experience, resources may help you jump-start some part of the process, but sooner or later, the spot light focuses on you and you alone. If they decide to walk hand in hand with you, that could be detrimental to their own calling. So don't give "man" that responsibility. It's God's responsibility.

"...I will instruct you and teach you in the way which thou shall go, I will guide you with mine eyes..." psalm 32:8

I said "journey"... calm down, the journey to the top is no sprint, it's a Marathon. You won't become mark zuckerberg in two weeks... the mark zuckerberg you see now, the bill gates you see now, late Steve jobs, these are all the result of a journey, a process that they we're committed to. The same can be said of you if you would decide on the kind of life you should live and commit to excellence.

With respect to that which you desire, you must die for each day. Sacrifice the you that you see now for the you that you want to become. All that time learning and improving yourself each day is you shedding scales. Scales of ignorance, scales of inability, scales of impossibility to reveal the excellence within. you are a genius, an indisputable success, take the time to peel back the covering.

Beware who you ask.
Mr. Impossible. He's been around for a very long while now, and he loves to tag along. He shows up without even being invited and he talks a whole lot. One of his favourite hobbies is answering questions. His favourite answer is "you can't". There are a number of ways to shut him up. One of which is by asking the question "how can I...?" He doesn't have the answer to that.

So, once you've decided where you're headed, your dreams, ask the right people the right questions and you will be shown the way, then, take that first step on the path that you've been shown, applying the principles that you we're taught (or learned). No day should pass without you " grin OING" something that takes you closer to that dream, destination, vision that you have seen. If you don't do it, no one else will, that's why it's called "Your life". You make of it what you choose. No one can stop you, absolutely no one! Those Road blocks are mere attempts, illusions to make you choose to quit. Refuse to every suggestion to quit walking towards your dream. No one else can fulfil your lifes purpose but you.

BusinessEffective Planning: A Prerequisite For Success. Part 1 by 2dcool(op): 7:17am On Sep 21, 2015
"And the lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain on tables, that he may run that readeth it" Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)

First he instructs us to "write the vision" why?

Consider this, Architecture is one of such disciplines which requires a high level of accuracy. So, Mr. Ade is lounging in the back porch of his sea-side cabin, in the cool of one Saturday evening envisioning what the next week would look like while sipping his favorite strawberry smoothie. Having the time of his life, the young architect is enraptured by the sheer bliss of this particular Saturday evening. All the elements of nature seemed to have unanimously agreed to entreat him to a well deserved rest after all his sleepless nights and tireless work put in the last week to ensure he finished his latest designs.

"It is complete, you did a perfect job, now, rest a while my child, we need you in your best shape for next week" the wind whispered into his ears as a mild gust blew over his face, caressing his left cheek.

Suddenly! The young man jumps out his chaise lounge nearly knocking himself over. He rushes to the nearest sketch pad in his line of sight, takes up his pencil and begins to sketch, ideas that would go on to become the greatest structure he ever designed and built...........and that's when the Dstv transmission signal got scrambled, I know pretty annoying right? I almost lunged at the decoder myself lol.

OK, OK! just kidding, that was an original piece, I just had to cut it short in righteousness to give you the moral of the story.

Notice Mr. Ade's initial response to his idea, asides almost breaking his leg. He "Penned - it - down". He put It on paper. He didn't rush to his site to start digging holes in the ground! By all means no! But that's what we tend to do some times with our ideas. We jump into action in obscurity, fall flat on our faces and then for some people, they get discouraged and eventually quit, some others persist finally getting it right. What if we listened to wisdom from the start, it sure would save us a whole lot of stress. Wisdom, in our opening portion of Scripture admonishes us to write it down first! "The lightest stroke of a pen is better than the strongest memory" Now observe the next instruction wisdom gives.

"...make it PLAIN on tables..."

Now, that's where your idea gets introduced to the developer called "planning". Understand that the idea you received was only a seed of the main thing. It must be nurtured to maturity, and to get there, it must be developed through effective planning.

The primary reason you should make plain your visions is this. "The more detailed you get about what actions are required to actualize your dream, the more motivated you will be to take action." Obscurity waters down Motivation. How do I know this? Well it is written;

"...that he may run that readeth it..."
