“So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice and no-one will take away your joy” (Jn 16:22). The description of this wondrous future could be found in Rom 8:18a, 21a and Jn 14:1-4. When the bible says, in Rom 8: 17-18, that a kind of incomparable and unfathomed glory awaits us in the future when we shall see Christ, one could ask a pertinent question as to how great will it be? What is the yardstick for its sharing and in what manner will it come?

Fine! The yardstick is the level of our sufferings. The time being is eternity. How great it will be depends on the number of souls you won for Christ and the level of good works via savings in the bank of heaven where moths and thieves are not. In what manner? It is ‘glory revealed in us’. Then, the glory covered the face of Moses and the people could not behold his face, but the glory we are discussing here is all surpassing one that you cannot afford to miss.

Jesus gave His word in Jn 14:1-4, the glory of reigning with Christ, eating and winning with Him, the glory of seeing God and Christ, the glory of the white garment put on us and worshipping the eternal God forever! The glory, here on earth, is that we all take the nature of children of God. There are unique glories in dwelling in Christ. Consider this: “After this I look and there before me was a great multitude that no-one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands…” (Rev 7:9-10)

Jesus gave us His words while leaving this world. It is an assurance that we are expected to hold on to till He comes back again to take us there. As Christians, we are to yearn for the promised glories, keep this in mind and let it motivates and energize us to continue to run the Christian race in spite of all odds.

In conclusion, we have greatly considered a very important message which must be of great concern to all Christians because it talks about our future, a period of time to come when our tears shall be wiped away, our heart gladden, our strength renewed, our bodies redeemed and our joy fulfilled. It is going to be a nice place to be on that day and just a minute joy will undo the long time sufferings and pains.

The cigarette, beautiful ladies, handsome men, bottle of wine, credible lies, etc are too small as barriers to getting you to that wonderfully and gloriously prepared place! You cannot afford to miss this! See you there! Shalom.
