Starting small requires courage. The key to growing big is starting. If you don’t start, you will remain where you have always being. To start small and grow big, you need to be aware of some truth and steps that will serve as a guide to attaining your wildest dream. Some of the steps and basic truth include the following:

1. Define exactly where you are going: Real success does not come by accident or chance; it is a product careful plan, backed by action and persistence which does not recognize failure. To begin you must have a clear picture of where you are going, and map out your plan of how you are going to get there. The essence of this is to avoid being a victim of missing the mark or target as you progress on your journey to becoming a bigger you. If you don’t know where you are going, anywhere you get to remains your destination.

2. Accept that you must do what you have to do in order to do what you want to: One basic truth you have to know as a starter is the fact that you have to do what you need to do in order to do what you want to do. A typical example is the case of a young graduate who had a dream of starting his own business, but lack capital. He didn’t sit down whining and complaining. He went ahead to look for menial jobs, worked for some months, raised money for his business, quitted doing menial jobs and launched his own business. If you are on the verge of starting business and complaining of no capital,one thing you must have in mind is that raising capital is part of the process.

3. Start with what you can do: You don’t need .
