thanks for guys like u. at least we'll have some "java grannies" to help some "java youngstars" like us. u guys just came in time. i have a little problem. its not a bug but my app. is not working properly. i need to communicate b/w a JDialog and a parent JFrame. i'm quite familiar with simple text communications i.e from a password field from a dialog to a main frame. but in this case its a shape to drawn on a parent frame. i've tried the simplest getter methods to return my shape(panel) to be "caught" by my main frame. but didnt work! can u suggest any solutions?

to program. And if you want to be proficient in java always go sun microsystem site www.sun.com and download the right documentation
which most time contain a simple tutorial. To prigram GUI download the java swing documentation and tutorial. If you still have
problem let me know.
