Please script writers in the house how do I protect my script against intellectual theft? I have just finished a short script for a short film. A Facebook friend requested for the script. he said he would shoot it if he likes it. But I am sceptical about giving it to him. I have not met him before so I am not sure he might give me credit as the writer. How do I copyright the script to prevent plagiarism? Secondly, should I demand for payment for the script or should I be contented with having my name appear on the credits since it isn't a commercial film? Thanks.
