This is not a good precedence, Goverments should endeavor to do what is beneficial to the country at a whole not a business conglomerate. |

This reeks of corruption and favouritism. It is common knowledge that Dangote is who he is now because the Nigerian government has always put policies in place that ensure that he has monopoly in whatever business he goes into. This tax relief that he is going to get now is to the detriment of the country's income because now that oil is no longer lucrative, internally generated revenue like tax is going to be the main source of government income. Worst of all is the open-ended duration of the tax relief. Its just like giving someone a blank cheque |
