DEAR GOD HEAR THE CRY OF THE AIDS TO THE 8TH RIVERS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY . One year is twelve (12) months, and is enough to test how loyal a person could be. The Aids to the 8th Rivers State House of Assembly RSHA in my opinion have passed this loyalty test, in fact , it is also a confirmation of their commitment in my views. Sadly, the loyalty and commitment expressed by these aids is not reciprocated by their masters (Honourable Members of the House of Assembly ), as they have not received salaries of eleven(11) months out of possible twelve. And not one member of the house is bothered or concerned about it. In fact, it is like a deliberate plan by the Honourable members to ensure their aids are not paid. This is evident on many failed promises as regard the wage payments, the recent one being the biometric in which they were excluded. From the information we gathered, some aids were even fired for complaining about their salaries and others have been forced to keep quiet or face similar fate as those thrown out. Even the governor who has received a lot of performance related praises, is deaf to the cry of these humble and faithful servants. As the executive and legislative arms of the Rivers state government celebrate one year in office, the aids and their families are marking one year of unexpected hardship . Today, every politician professes to be a Christian in Rivers State but sadly, they are Christians without the word of God. We would like to draw the attention of the public and the Honourable members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to the Holy Bible in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 24 verse 15, please refer. It is a sin to owe thy servant his wages until the sunsets. It is also disheartening to know that most of these aids are also foot soldiers of these Honourable members , yet they have treated them like beggars and pests. And no one has put himself in the shoes of these hungry but quiet aids. Our Honourable members have intimidated them and have made them voiceless . Oh! Voice of the voiceless , spirit of the spiritless, arise for these hungry and disappointed Assembly aids. Some of them are bread winners of their families. Our money!!!
