ADUKE A Rose that survive among thorns Despite all their effort to choke her bloom Aduke transcends her peers Tongues wags in praise of her beauty She remained unsoiled despite the army of suitors The canal minded ones Who are a slave to their boner They all failed to get a glimpse of her thighs Even Alao, the king of flirts Who no maiden could resist his seductive allure Adio's depth of poetic lines fell on deaf ears She was unmoved by Ayinde's glitters and wealth She endured the hard times Calmly waiting for her prince charming While we all scoff and mock her Cause she didn't fall into our snare Till he arrived on his white horse A man befitting of her unadulterated love Deserving of a maiden like Aduke And we all stare in awe
