Dandelion plant (Taraxacum officinale) is not wild lettuce (Lactuca capensis) called "efo yanrin" or "yanrin oko" in Yoruba. People tend to mistake one for the other. They are clearly two different plants and I doubt if there is any local name for Dandelion because the plant is not native to Nigeria. 1 Like |
