1.Check Motor Oil: Check your motor oil regularly to find out if your vehicle needs oil. Always check oil level regularly especially before going on long journeys.

2.Water and Coolant: To prevent your car from overheating make sure the water level is between maximum and minimum marks in the water tank avoid injury only open the radiator cap when the engine is cold.

3.Lights: Ask someone to help you move control the light buttons while you check the lights. Ensure brake, Indicator and Fog lights work perfectly.

4.Tyre pressure and Tread: check your tyre pressure weekly. Over inflated/under inflated tyres can be unsafe. Regularly inspect your tyres for cuts/damages and don’t forget to check your spare tyre too. Make sure your Wheels are properly aligned as incorrect alignment can result in increased tyre wear. Typical signs of incorrect alignment include Steering Vibration, Dragging or Pulling, Audible distress when turning corners.

5.Windscreen: Always look out for small chips because they eventually grow into cracks. Chips larger than 10mm can result into failed MOT. Check Windscreen wiper regularly and replace when necessary.
