This afternoon a farmer just harvested his fish from the pond. After harvesting, he noticed this creature and was surprised, he brought it to me and asked if it's a turtle ( stays in water) or tortoise ( stays on land) . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYU6mxYia_Q I told him that there isn't much difference between the two, but the common difference is their place of habitation, so I concluded it was a turtle since it was found in an aquatic area. See some pictures below, you can watch the video for more details. Any alternate answer please?

Those claws on its limb clearly show it is a tortoise, turtles have web-like limbs. Tortoise may also wade into water to clean itself or take a drink. 2 Likes |
