Description: Main Job Function:

The Post holder would be responsible for the Preparation and
coordination of “in house” basic and/or detailed Design, Tender Documentation
including Brief of Design, Drawings, Scope of Work, Technical
Specifications, Bill of Quantities, and cost analysis/cost engineering.

Verification of structural/architectural/technological design prepared
by Consultants or Contractors.

Technical inspection of the structures/facilities existing within the
Company’s operational areas including assessment of conditions and
structural integrity.

Preparation of Technical Reports (TR) with recommendations.

Verification and Approval of Soil Investigation Reports prepared by
Contractors/Consultants.

Verification and appraisal of TR prepared by Consultants or
Contractors.

Examine and Appraise Technical Tenders submissions for Building Roads,
Marine structures and technical infrastructure projects related to
NAOC’s operational requirements.

Clarification of Technical queries made by Contractors/Consultants.

Day-to-day coordination and supervision of construction works on sites.

Key Responsibility Areas:

The Project Department within NAOC (Civil Engineering Work Section) is
responsible for Basic Design Engineering, Preparation of Tender
documentation, Technical and Cost Evaluation, Site Supervision and carrying
out day to day Operations in Civil Engineering projects.

These activities are aimed at ensuring that all surface facilities are
designed, constructed and maintained to suit the Company’s Operation
and be consistent with the prime requirement of safety compliance with
Eni and the Nigerian Government regulations.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Ensure Design and Sites Construction processes.
- Ensure Technical Inspection of facilities from the Civil Engineering
point of view is carried out in accordance with recommended ENI
requirements and the Nigerian Government Regulations.
- Prepare Scope of Work and Technical Specifications for assigned
projects, Develop basic / detailed documentation for all structures and
facilities required.
- Carry out Cost evaluation and Technical aspects involved in projects
related to the newly designed and existing facilities.
- Analyse Structural Elements of the Designed / Refurbished / Modified
structures (steel and reinforced concrete).
- Review Technical documentation (detailed design) prepared by
Contractors and Consultants.
- Co-ordinate, Supervise and Inspects projects involving Civil Work on
sites (on going).
- Verify that construction, repairs, modification or renewals of
facilities are carried out to Technical Specification (TS) and Detailed
Design.
- Conduct Technical Inspection of Facilities and sites.
- Prepare, Inspection and Maintain accurate activity report.
- Advise Management on limiting conditions of services to which items
of structures may be subjected.
