U can consider changing course to a similar course DAT has lower cut off

I see M.sc as something that will be useful in the future and not a do or die for now. Maybe because I have a professional qualification already which serves an immediate need.

You studied accounting right? That is the reason u weren't recommended. I can remember one of the newsletters I subscribed to on this admission process and the guy sent some of the new rules in the admission process. I quote '' Msc Finance does not accept B.sc Accounting ,Economics, Business Administration anymore for the programe''

To qualify for Msc finance you need Bachelors/postgraduate degree in banking and/or finance

I think lack of info was ur undoing.

Yes... I did thorough research and was told they accept B.sc accounting this year, I asked so many people and they attested to that fact, I think its because I dint meet the cut off mark of 65.

Are u sure you confirmed at the school of postgraduate studies or prospectus to confirm they accept accounting? Cos the newsletter was during this year admission process and he alleged B.sc accounting does not qualify one for M.sc Finance.
