According to ps3centre.com
Brink is looking to revolutionize the way players look at multiplayer.  Splash Damage's latest shooter features a seamless integration between both modes, with an emphasis on accessibility for gamers of all experience levels.

As if living up to the innovative premise they've established isn't daunting enough, Splash Damage is also faced with another challenge - transitioning from a PC-only studio to a multiplatform developer.  It's a task that has concerned Splash Damage from the onset of the project, especially in regards to the complex architecture of the PS3.

"To me as a game director there are some things that are just alien, like PlayStation 3 technology and job systems, that I find it really difficult to get my head around," Splash Damage CEO Paul Wedgwood expressed just recently.

Luckily, the London-based studio has hired some of the best talent around to help develop for the consoles, including Heavenly Sword's lead programmer Dean Calver and Killzone 2's lead level designer Neil Alphonso.

Brink is due in 2010, for the PS3, XBox 360, and PC.

And you think the word 'alien' used in this context is complimentary? lol.
It's actually more damning to have a console that's pretty difficult to program for.

Naughty dog says hello,
it took just 18 months to create the master piece

Naughty Dog is a Sony first/second party developer. They have access to ALL the resources Sony can muster. They are not distracted by other games or projects, as they've pretty much been pouring all their manpower at the Uncharted franchise. Plus, they had the Uncharted engine to improve on. Is it surprising therefore that they'd have less of a challenge getting their heads round the PS3 tech?

It's not a good thing for your console to be the difficult one to program for. Period!

same thing happened with the PS1, PS2 and PS3, same old story,
valve is the only lazy developers around, and Sony has offered to help them,

Heh.
Valve was making industry leading games when Naughty Dog was still churning out Crash Bandicoot. Naughty Dog may be good, but they have nothing on Valve. They aren't even in the same ballpark!

It's truly hard to program for the PS3 but Sony made it easier for this guys when they launched their dev kit at a ridiculously low price of $10k and they offered to help any Dev that's interested in the PS3 but finds it hard to program for. Uncharted 2 is not even close to the best PS3 can do. The power cell!!
