It is our right to protest when all forms of dialogue and negotiation has been exhausted, especially in this era of civilization, But we stand against any form of Violence and Vandalism. The incident on Friday 17-02-2017 was a public expression of accumulated grievance and pain but was channeled in a wrong manner as a result of misguided information. We want to reassure every student of Federal University of Technology Owerri that the Students' Union Government has never compromised our commitment to be the bridge between the Students and the Management. However, we would ensure that accurate information is passed as at when due. We urge you to stay peaceful and calm as we will ensure that the good aim of the peaceful protest turned violent is not defeated.
