Sharing a couple of pages from John Bevere's book titled "Good or God". Enjoy! cheesy

-----------
Let’s review some of the details concerning the Bible. It’s composed of sixty-six book, written in various languages over a period of roughly 1,500 years by over forty men on three continents (Africa, Asia, and Europe). These human writers came from vastly different backgrounds, occupations and perspectives. They were fishermen, shepherds, military men, royal cupbearer, a medical doctor, a tax collector, a tentmaker, and others. Some wrote from prison While others penned their words in a palace.

Although the writings of these men cover numerals topics, the unity found throughout the different books is remarkable – but definitely not co-incidental. Their central theme is this: humankind’s sin predicament, the resulting separation from their Creator, their inability to restore relationship with Him, and the divine answer of a Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. This content is interwoven consistently from Genesis to Revelation.

The fact that the writer of the Bible did not (and could not) come together to plan what they would write is awe-inspiring! No one person or committee oversaw and set the direction of the process. God Himself did. Since the scriptures were written of the lengthy period of time, most writer did not personally know one another or live in the same era. Books were added to the existing collection as they were written throughout the 1,500 years. (Stop for a moment and think back1,500 years from today. That’s so far back it predates the British Empire. Staggering!)

Now, generations later, it’s overwhelming to think the Bible we read came forth as one book by men who had no explicit knowledge of the overall structure. Their individual roles could be compared to that of the different people from different generations and cultures writing chapters of a novel, none of them having had and overall outline or even a storyline to go by. The amazing coherence of this book proves it’s divine origin. Like a symphony, each individual part of the Bible contributes to the overall harmony that is orchestrated by one God.

This knowledge alone is overwhelming evidence of the divine inspiration of the scripture. But let’s take a step further by discussing the accuracy of these different writers.

Prophecies predicting the arrival of the Messiah were written in various Old Testament books over hundreds of years, in some instances over a thousand years before Jesus’ birth. Most Bible scholars agree there are over three hundred of these prophesies in the Old Testament. Once Jesus Christ came to into the world HE declared to His father, “Look, I have come to do your will, O God – as is written about me in the scriptures” (Hebrews 10:7 NLT). And to the people Jesus declared, “Scriptures speak about me!” (John 5:39 TEV)

Jesus’ fulfillment of all these prophetic writings is overwhelming evidence of the divine inspiration of Scripture. A common rebuttal to this conclusion is that you can find other historical figures that would fit the prophesies of Messiah. This is true; certain individuals could fulfill one, two, or even a few prophesies. However, to find one person to fulfill all is virtually impossible.

Let me illustrate. The next few pages will be more technical and scientific in nature, but I assure you this information is important and delightful to ponder.

To be continued . . . .

The mathematical probability used to prove the accurate fulfillment of the messianic prophecies by Jesus Christ will blow your mind. Stay tuned!

For starters, the Pentateuch purportly written by Moses were divinely inspired right?

So you genuinely believe the biblical account of Creation?
Population of earth by Adam and Eve?
Which people (where forth they cometh) did God forbid from killing Cain?
Tower of Babel? (The sky just had to be shifted cos we were just a tad too close to the Most High)

Then the disciples during their travails with Christ just happened to keep notes of his proceedings and verbatim utterances on their scrolls (or tablets)

In essence, the bible is a book laden with vague accounts of history, legends (no different from our indigenous stories) collated by the best writers and retold with a theme to brainwash the populace and help keep them under control.
